Shop the Hands Behind the Work—Firefly Handmade’s Spring Market Returns, May 16–17

There are markets—and then there's Firefly.

If you've ever wandered Pearl Street on a crisp fall weekend and found yourself lingering at booth after booth, picking up ceramics you didn't know you needed or a piece of jewelry that somehow felt made for you, there's a good chance Firefly was behind it.

This year, more artisans than ever have joined the lineup for one of Boulder and Denver’s most celebrated markets—bringing an even deeper sense of creativity, craftsmanship, and community to Pearl Street.

Boulder's beloved handmade market has become a seasonal ritual for good reason: every artisan is chosen with intention, and it shows.

For 2026, Firefly returns with a full calendar across both Boulder and Denver—each event bringing together a carefully juried group of makers in some of Colorado's most walkable, community-centered spaces.

Mark Your Calendar

Boulder's dates land on Pearl Street Mall for three seasons: May 16–17 (Spring), October 10–11 (Fall), and November 14–15 (Holiday). Denver gets its own lineup, with the Spring market hitting Old South Gaylord Street on May 2–3, and the Fall and Holiday editions settling into the Denver Design District on September 26–27 and December 12–13, respectively.

And keep an eye out—a brand new Firefly website is launching soon, offering a fresh digital home for the artisan stories and seasonal energy that make these markets worth the trip.

What Sets Firefly Apart

The elevated feel of a Firefly market isn't accidental. Founder Beth Pomerantz—an artist herself—leads a detailed jurying process built around five things: genuine craftsmanship and originality, a clear and cohesive brand identity, thoughtful booth presentation, a digital presence that tells the story behind the work, and the kind of human warmth that makes you want to ask questions and stick around.

The result is something that feels less like browsing a marketplace and more like discovering a community.

Beth's driving motivation is straightforward: opportunity. She knows firsthand how hard it is for artists to find the right platform—one that doesn't just display their work, but puts it in front of people who actually value it. By running multiple events each year across two cities, Firefly gives makers consistent, high-visibility moments to grow, connect, and be seen.

Why It's Worth Showing Up

The best way to describe a Firefly market isn't really about what you'll find—it's about how you'll feel when you leave. A little more inspired. Maybe more connected to the hands and stories behind the things you own. And probably carrying something home that feels like more than a purchase.

That's the Firefly effect. And it's back for another year. Visit their new website www.fireflyhandmade.com to learn more.

We can’t wait to see you and share in the experience that is Firefly—whether on Pearl Street or at one of their other markets this season.

Whether you’re playing tourist for the afternoon or simply wandering the Firefly Handmade Market with a coffee in hand, the artisans you discover each tell a story. They’re a reminder that the best finds come from local hands—and that a simple stroll down Pearl Street often turns into something you’ll hold onto a little longer.
